About Us

What is National Women’s Editorial Forum?

A project to empower women to engage in, transform and democratize the media landscape. Using a gender lens, NWEF works with both state and national media outlets to support a full continuum of commentary from newspaper op-eds, to radio/TV talk shows to internet blogs. NWEF is a division within American Forum, the organization sponsoring “Voice2Vote.”

Charles Beresford (he/Him)

Charles is a senior Political Science major and Economics minor at Clemson University. He is a versatile worker in what he provides to American Forum. He looks forward to using knowledge from his major to assist in the writing of editorials and the running of social media.

Stefano Frank de Maria (He/Him)

Stefano De Maria is a rising senior at Kenyon College pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Spanish. His background is focused on elections, American democracy, and voting and is a strong writer and editor with social science research experience.

Azariah Chester (She/Her)

Azariah Chester will be a sophomore at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia this upcoming fall semester. Her majors are Political Science, Philosophy, and History. She is beyond grateful for this opportunity to spread the word about the importance of voting, especially to Gen Z and Millennials.

Emma DeSimone (She/Her)

Emma recently graduated with a Degree in Political Science and Journalism from Hofstra University. She is dedicated to making sure every voter is aware of the important issues in their community.


Josh Fuqua (He/Him)

Josh Fuqua will be a senior at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia this upcoming Fall. He is studying Government and planning on attending law school after graduating next year. Josh is an intern with American Forum and lives in Virginia Beach, VA.

    Anna Deogratias, an ASA Communications Fellow, is a first-generation recent college graduate from Arizona State University who received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication and a minor in Theatre in May.
